Description
Oven benefiting from the latest technology in terms of microwave heating.
Industrial sectors such as aeronautics and automotive have already switched to microwave heating technology.
It has major advantages over conventional sintering ovens:
- The total sintering time is approximately 4 hours.
- Sintering time up to 1550 ºC: 110 min.
- Refrigeration up to 300 ºC: 130 min.
These values have nothing to do with those of conventional ovens.
WHY?
Unlike conventional ovens, – in which heat passes from the outside of the structure inside – in the microwave oven, heat is generated at all points of the structure, so that the temperature is achieved more evenly. The resulting sintered structure is cleaner, more resistant and more precise since there is no draft during heating.
Zirconia is a great thermal resistant. In a traditional oven, the heating must be done little by little while respecting the levels so that the temperature is evenly distributed throughout the prosthesis. Hence the long duration of sintering programs.
The total sintering time in the fastest program is approximately 4 hours (sintering time up to 1550 ºC: 110 min. Refrigeration up to 300 ºC: 130 min). These values are lower than in conventional furnaces.
Unlike in conventional furnaces —in which the heat advances from the outside of the structure to the interior—, in the microwave oven, heat is generated at all points of the structure, so the temperature is reached much more uniformly. The sintered structure is cleaner and stronger.
Excellent maintenance savings due to lower power, fewer components and smaller size. Nor does it carry the fragile and expensive heating elements of molybdenum silicate.
Very low consumption: approximately 800/1100 W during the complete practice of the cycle.
Possibility of carrying out several production cycles on the same day. Production capacity increases dramatically.
Extremely easy to operate.
Much smaller than standard ovens: located in any corner of the laboratory.
It practically does not give off heat, which is appreciated during the summer in closed rooms.
