MESTRA®

Talleres Mestraitua, SL MESTRA® is a Spanish company specialized in manufacturing dental equipment and appliances.

It was founded in 1947 and since then we have maintained a constant expansion. Although there are many factors contributing to this high expansion, we would like to highlight three of them as the most important: an efficient and professional relationship with our customers, the high quality of our products, which have earned the ISO 9001:2015 certification by TÜV Rheinland , and technical innovation in product design.

MESTRA ® currently exported to clients in over 50 countries across five continents, and its extensive catalog contains over 1,000 different references.

FOUNDATION

D. Ignacio Mestraitua establishes the company at regional level (Basque Country), focusing on jewellery and dental laboratory.

INTERNATIONALISATION

Initial market launch al national level (Spain), powered by D. Ignacio Mestraitua.

PRODUCT DESIGN

Product design departament is created, with just one employee: D. Francisco Ayesta (Pakito).

FIRST MACHINE

MESTRA builds its first electrical machine: a jewellery polisher.

FRANCE

The first export to France is completed. The exportations to Portugal began three years earlier.

FIRST DENTAL SHOWCASE

This is the first time that MESTRA attends a dental showcase with its own stand, in Barcelona

COLONIA IDS

It is the first time that MESTRA attends to Colonia IDS, the International Dental Show.

CE Marking

Our products are CE marked: they cumply with health, safety and environmental management standards set out by the EU.

R+D+I DEPARTMENT

MESTRA establishes its new R+D+I department. From that year onwards, products are not longer designed on the drawing board and computerised design begins.

SPANISH DRUGS AGENCY

In 1998, MESTRA is officially licensed for manufacturing and importing healthcare products by the Spanish Drugs Agency.

ISO 9001 CERTIFICATION

MESTRA is the first dental enterprise that obtains the ISO 9001 certification. UL certification occurs in 2006.

MESTRA WORLD LEADER

After many years of constant and unstinting effort, MESTRA consolidates its position as the world's leading dental company, specifically designing, manufacturing and selling machines for typical use in dental laboratories.

Our design philosophy is based on the belief that the design of machinery and tooling for dental laboratory, must be based on the testimony of the needs of our customers in the observation of the techniques used in the dental laboratory and in our more than 65 years experience in the design and manufacture of machinery.
